Hiyas folks! Just dropping everyone a line to let you know that I haven't dropped off the face of the planet and I know June was the last update and that was a long time ago but am gonna go see what I've found in that time and see about making some updates shortly . In the mean time, don't forget to check out Smiley Vault, I recently added two galleries to the searchable site and the members there are always constantly adding their own too!

Added a new gallery! Smileys with Flags - Static , so far there is an Eu Flag, UK Flag and a USA Flag, will be adding more soon :)

Gmail have now added the ability to add predefined custom smileys and the ability to add your own smileys to an email! Totally brilliant! Check out the How to add Smileys in Gmail FAQ

Added 6 Big Smileys to the Big Smiley Page.

Yet more maintenance! Fixed some 404's, some basic layout changes and some other tweaks here and there .

Just maintenance today, there was a fair few broken images so I went round the site and cleaned them up a bit

Still teething problems I'm afraid, I think I've managed to fix most of the issues, the smileys that weren't showing up and the email and it looks like DNS has propogated though not entirely it seems, if you spot any probs on the site feel free to drop me a line

Well, am currently trying a new host with a custom solution to my needs, however the move hasn't gone as smoothly as I hoped and there are some issues with the server the site is on, however, I will try and get them sorted out as soon as I possibly can. Am really sorry for any inconvenience caused during this time.

Added a new category of emoticons to the site, Tuzki Bunny Emoticons. These really are cute! For details on where they came from check out the page they're on for more information.

As some of you who have emailed me know, there is now an additional option to email me, you can either click on the link and open an email in whatever email client you use or fill in the very small form to contact me

Added a FAQ for adding smileys to Thunderbird, the free open source email client you can get from Mozilla.

Just some basic maintenance today, nothing big .

Removed the text link that came with the smileys on the Custom Smileys Page, should look nicer now on your MySpace, Xanga, website or blog .

Just some routine maintenance today, you might notice some minor changes here and there but for the majority of the site everything is still the same.

Added a Smiley Wallpapers page, so far it has 9 smiley wallpapers on it right now but the more I find in time the more I will add.

Added a Submitted Smiley Faces page, only has 1 smiley face there right now but if you want to submit any smileys you make just email me!

Added a Site Map to the site, link can be found bottom of every page and to the left, where I've also added a link to my email, just in case the location wasn't clear before.

Added The Big Smiley Face, it is the biggest smiley fface I've found on the net and now it's yours to hotlink to free from Free Smileys.

You might have noticed about an hours downtime tonight, this is because I've moved the site to a hosting account with more resources, as a result, hotlinking has been re-enabled, which means you can once again hotlink to the smileys and sigs once more without being manually allowed. I hope this is the only move I will need to make for some time but will have to see how it goes.

Added about 150 smileys to the archive today including a few more categories like hugs and computers! Check out the Free Animated Smiley Galleries, galleries updated with new smileys are marked with a sign, new categories added to the smiley archive here are displayed with a double . Enjoy!

Added 43 smileys to the new Forum Smileys Page, some of them are already in the archive here but I thought I would add a category that some forum users would find handy

Had an email from a visitor who said they couldn't find the laughing smileys, so have split the Happy Smileys into 2 galleries, Happy Smileys and Laughing Smileys, hope that makes it easier for some people

Added a missing smiley to the Basic Smileys page and that was of an embarassed smiley, the embarassed one can be found bottom of page 1.

Sorry for the lack of updates recently, my pc died a horrible death worthy of any violent smiley you can find on this site , just waiting to get it up and running again. Am using an old computer right now but at least it works .

For some reason the custom smileys stopped working and I can't get them back working until my pc is working again, sorry folks but it could be a couple months before they're working and new smileys are added , in the mean time, if you have any smileys you've found and would like to see added to the site, drop me an email with the smiley attached .

Lastly, moved all the news for the site on it's own page, which you're reading now, so you must have found me .

Added the Free Animated Emoticon Index, they are a collection of animated graphics that are normally small and cute in some way, while not quite smileys per se, I thought I would merge the content from DreamSignature.com to here.

Added the IRC Guide Page, it was originally hosted at the Smiley Guide site, which as you know I merged with this site, however, I kinda missed the IRC guides so I added them to this site, if you use the chat room here on the site they will come in very handy indeed

Added 20 new smileys to the Angelic Smileys Page, Cool Smileys Page, Sad Smileys Page 2, enjoy!

Added 73 new smileys to the Basic Smileys Page, the most common ones I envisage people (including myself) to use will be on page one, the others maybe with not so much usage are on page two

Some of the HTML and Forum codes were missing from a few of the AfterDark smileys, have now fixed them .

Fixed a few spelling errors on the site, discovered a few pages not rendering properly in IE so am now working on those at the moment and just a few other minor touch ups.

Now the text in the link boxes are highlighted for you when you left click them. Also added a copyright and usage page to the site.

If you've searched for smileys and had a job because all you could find were results for Gnarls Barkley then the Gnarls Barkley "Smiley Faces" music video and trivia is for you, there's a little bit about the song and the artist and a music video from youtube just so you can see what all the fuss is about.

You'll also notice that I finally re-added the chat acronym page, it's been moved around the block somewhat but now it's back here to stay

Finally got round to getting a friend to modify the custom smiley script I was using on GreatSmileys.com so that it worked on this site.

Merged the content of the Smiley Guide site with this one and am now using the design there for here.

Added a new download page to the site and created a new site called GreatSmileys.com, where you can create your own smileys and hotlink to them etc.

Added 152 smileys to the archive, check out the image next to the gallery to see what ones have been added to, enjoy!!.

Added a Basic Smileys category, nothing special, just what you might expect on an ordinary forum, mainly added them because I will use them for my sites and figured others would want to aswell. I have about 150 more smileys sorted and uploaded, I just have to add them to the site, I'll do it soon though .

Added tons of new smileys to the AfterDarkForums.com Smileys Category, which was previously SF, the smileys in the replaced category will still work but I am now advertising the new forum.

Split up some of the larger galleries into smaller ones, this should help loading times and prevent anyone getting banned by mistake for refreshing a large gallery too many times.

Added 38 new smileys to the General Smileys, Smileys with Signs and Taunting Smileys Categories, I will be adding more today as I go.

Went through the General Smileys gallery and moved alot of smileys into better descriptive galleries, gonna do the same with the Common Smileys soon so keep an eye out.

Added 63 smileys to the archive today, have about 100 smileys with signs to add which I will add soon, check out the galleries with a next to them for indication on what galleries have been added to since the last update.

Added several new galleries to the smiley archive, Smileys with Score Cards, Ashamed Smileys, Zodiac Smileys, StarGate Smileys, Confused Smileys, Shocked Smileys, Rolleyes Smileys, Smileys with Flags - Animated and RPG Smileys.

Also added a load more smileys, check out the the and the marked galleries to see the new content.

Added about 70 new smileys to the new Merv Smileys Page, check out that page for more details on where to get even more cool smileys.

Decided I will now keep you up to spec when I update the site, which isn't often admittedly but I've done some work on the site today, and have about another 100 smileys to add to the archive soon, so here goes.

I've been adding lots of smileys over the course of today, check out the galleries with the next to them. I've also been moving alot of smileys from some of the more general galleries into more specific galleries, should be alot easier to find the smiley you want now.
